EXTAMPA - Año 2005 - Nº 6

The periodical publication issued by the «Asociación Andaluza de Exlibristas», edited by José Miguel Valderrama Esparza with an appealing graphic design and layout by the artist Víctor Oliva Pascuet, is quickly becoming one of the best Ex Libris magazines published, both due to its excellent graphic presentation (with many ex libris tipped in) and very interesting articles written by a wide pannel of experts in the field, from various countries. 

Apart from the typical sections found in similar magazines, «Extampa» dedicates articles/interviews on well-known collectors and artists and on Latin American bookplate artists building a bridge between Europe and South America. Particularly relevant and also deserving applause is the space given to the art of engraving and its techniques with very informative articles usually written by artists.

In the year of the IV Centenary, issue number 6 is particularly rich in articles (8) dedicated to Don Miguel de Cervantes and his immortal creation «Don Quijote de la Mancha» and its influence on Ex Libris. Although written in Spanish this issue is thus a must to the «Don Quijote» serious collectors.
